Update on the Covid19 Enhanced Community Quarantine

POEA issued the attached Memorandum Circular No. 7 s2020 Guidelines on POEA Transactions and OFW Arrivals and Departures during the Enhanced Community Quarantine and National State of Calamity brought about by Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) which allows a skeletal workforce for the manning agencies to facilitate seafarer dispatch and sign off.

The domestic or local flights are still suspended. International flights to and from Manila are available albeit limited.

Additionally, the attached International Chamber of Shipping Open Letter to the relevant authorities including the United Nations was received last March 18, 2020;

Basis the aforementioned and attached references, WMSI assures that we will dispatch seafarers who are travel-ready and available, when safe to do so, in coordination with our business partners, and when ports of engagement allow.

WMSI operates with full resources but operations are guided by Covid19 Enhanced Community Quarantine measures by the National Government.
