Do you have unclaimed PhilHealth refunds?

WMSI Updates

Labor Secretary Rosalinda Dimapiliz-Baldoz stated the following updates as advised to DOLE by PhilHealth:

  1. Members can now pay their premium contributions at the PhilHealth counters in POEA starting April 1, 2015;
  2. Payments for overseas employment certificates (OECs) will no longer include PhiHealth premium contributions (to avoid long lines); and
  3. Names of members with unclaimed refunds of benefit payments for their or their dependents’ confinements at the UERM Medical Center from 2007-2013 and from other various accredited health care institutions can now be verified online, including updates to existing claims.
What is an unclaimed refund?

An unclaimed refund refers to a benefit payment made by PhilHealth to a member through a healthcare institution (HCI), that the member had not been able to collect from. It usually results from an under-deduction by the HCI of the actual cost of hospitalization reimbursable to PhilHealth. HCIs with unclaimed refunds returned the funds to PhilHealth. As a result, PhilHealth endeavors to ensure that what it reimbursed for a member indeed reaches the member.
